Description of Role:

This is a very specialized role. The candidate must be willing to place his/ her personal and professional stamp on the school. LAIS is officially certified by Cambridge International Examinations through A levels, ICE etc.,. The majority of the students are Japanese nationals, but there are a few foreigners as well. The challenges include dealing with cultural issues, language barriers (with parent/ guardians) and to take the school to lofty heights. This position requires the continuous buildup of the curriculum, planning and implementation.

The candidate will join the school as part of it’s Kaizen (ongoing improvement and development) program, and will drive the educational and operational performance of all services: supporting and training staff; monitoring individual learning plans; delivering outstanding academic standards; and, meeting rigorous standards of quality and compliance.

The candidate will ideally possess a higher qualifications, will know how to place quality outcomes in all the initiatives at LAIS. The need: to understand the importance of providing flexible and personalized packages tailored to individual needs; motivate and train teachers in methodology; and, to create a working partnership with teachers, parents and the stakeholders.
