Kindergarten & Year 1 Curriculum


After completion of the Kindergarten program the student will be able to do all of the following:

  • To pat a steady beat while listening to music
  • To speak and sing using high and low sounds
  • To distinguish between “Loud and Soft,” “Fast and slow”
  • To sing a variety of songs with a group (rote learning)
  • To respond physically to music
  • To recognize a steady, recurring beat
  • To develop vocal confidence and accuracy in speech
  • To discover music as a means of expression
  • To identify different musical sounds
  • To participate in group-centered activities
