Parents Meeting Dec 9th

This is a reminder for Little Angels Parents Meeting on Friday, Dec 9th for ES, MS and HS.

Place: Mitaka Main Campus
Time: 10:00am – 12:00 (including Q&A time)

We urge all parents to attend this meeting as the agenda covers several topics of importance for
your child’s education and growth. We would also be talking about the next semester and rest of the school year.

We look forward to seeing you all at the meeting.

Parent Teacher One on One Meetings
Parents can schedule one on one meeting to discuss their child’s progress with the teachers in the week of Dec 12th.

Parents will have the meeting with me (Ms.Deepa) and any concerned teacher (if requested) for ES students on Dec 12th and Dec 13th.

For MS / HS students, meetings can be scheduled with Dr.Sarath Sanku and any other concerned teacher (if requested) from Dec 13th – Dec 15th
between 3:30pm to 5:00pm.
Kindly note each meeting slot is for 20 minutes.

Please sign up on the Appointment Sheets to fix the meeting time when you come to the meeting on Dec 9th.

Notice for End of Semester 1 for 2016-2017 for KG and Y1

Dear Parents / Guardians,
Hope this email finds you well and warm!.

The 1st semester for the academic year 2016-17 will be shortly coming to
an end.

Kindly note the following important dates regarding the end of semester
for KG and Y1.

1. Friday, Dec 9th is the last day of Semester 1 for KG and Y1.

2. The school lunch ends on Wednesday Dec 7th, for Y1. This is the last
day of school lunch.
RA – SKG have noon dismissal as usual.
*The birthday party for December will take place on Dec 7th.

3. The school ends at noon (12:00) for KG and Y1 on Thursday, Dec 8th
and Friday, Dec 9th.
The school bus will not run on the December 9th.

4. The students can start taking their things back home from Wednesday,
Dec 7th, 2016.

5. Since Radish Picking was cancelled, it will take place on
Friday, Dec 9th, weather permitting.

6. The KG and Y1 Gift Exchange Party will take place on Thursday, Dec
8th (instead of Friday, Dec 9th as they will be going
for radish picking then).
Kindly ensure all children bring in their gifts for exchange (\500
worth) by Monday, Dec 5th.

7. The new semester, Semester 2, begins on Wednesday, Jan 4th, 2017.

LAIS Sports Day Saturday, Nov 5th, 2016

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Hello.

The Little Angels Sports Day will be held on Saturday, November 5th, 2016.

Please find the details for the same below:
Date: Saturday, Nov 5th, 2016
Place: Mitakashiritsu Dai-Roku Elementary School grounds.
Time:  9:00a.m. – 4:00p.m.
Please be at the premises by 8:30 a.m.

Dress: ES / MS / HS – School PE clothes (yellow t-shirt and black shorts) with LAIS sports track suit over it. Cap for the sunny day.
Kindergartners – School Collared T-shirt, black shorts and school cap.

Sports Day Program

We shall not be sending a printed program from this year on in our drive to conserve paper and save our environment. We thank you for your support and understanding in this matter.

**There are events planned for the parents as well. Therefore please come in clothes that you could exercise in. There will also be a relay just for the parents, and we are looking forward to seeing many parents showing off their ‘muscle’.

***Please bring gloves for the event of tug-of-war.

Please note the following with respect to the use of the school facilities:

1. There is no parking space available at the Dai-Roku Elementary School. Please be considerate and mindful of people living in the vicinity, if you will be coming by car. There will be parking provided for bicycles. Please make sure that you park your bicycles within the allotted area, and, in an orderly manner.

2. Please use the toilet that is in the gymnasium. Kindly do not enter any of the school buildings.

3. Please do not let your children use the playing equipment on the school grounds.

4. Please note that smoking, consumption of alcoholic beverages, pitching tents, and barbecues are strictly prohibited on the school premises.

In case of inclement weather it will be  postponed to Sunday, Nov 6th, 2016. The school will inform you
by 6:30 a.m., on Nov 5th, 2016, by e-mail and via the Web site.

Y1 Closed for two days owing to Influenza

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It has been brought to our notice, that quite a few of the Y1 students are unwell, with Influenza Type B and other illnesses.

In order to prevent any further spread of infection, and, to allow the students time to rest and recover properly, the Y1 students classes will be closed tomorrow and the day after tomorrow (April 12th and 13th, 2016).

The students will return to school on Thursday, April 14th, 2016 [Unless otherwise notified].

Notice for the April – August Semester 2016

Dear Parents and guardians,

(1) School for the April – August Semester begins on the 4th of April. On this day school will close at 12:00 noon.

(2) April 5th, Tuesday: Students have to bring lunch from home. School finishes at 2:30 p.m.(for Y1 to Y4) and at 3:30 p.m.(for Y5 and Y6) and there will be no homework support time.

(3) April 6th, Wednesday: School lunch begins. School finishes at 2:30 p.m., and there will be no homework support time.

(4) Homework support time begins from April 11th, Monday. But, Y1 students will not have Homework support time in the entire month of April.

Radish Picking 2015 (Ruby-Y4)

Hello.

We wish to inform you all that ‘Radish Picking’ will be held on Friday, December 4th, 2015.
There will be no change in the school times.

Please note that this event is only meant for the students in Ruby, Junior KG, Senior KG, Y1, Y2, Y3 and Y4.

All other grades will remain in school and pursue their studies as per the time table.

What you need to bring along:

– Two vinyl shopping bags (one placed inside the other, to strengthen it) with the child’s name written on it,

– A towel to wipe hands, and,

– Rain-boots.

Elementary school (Y2-Y6) closure due to widespread illness!

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Hello.

Many of the ES students are unwell, with severe cough and cold and it is rapidly spreading around. As of today, several of the ES students have taken leave over the last 2 weeks.

In order to prevent any further spread of infection, and, to allow the students time to rest and recover properly before the commencement of semester 2 exams, only the ES will be closed tomorrow (November 20th, 2015).

The students will come back to school on Nov 24th, Tuesday.

Note that the MS and KG will have regular school tomorrow (November 20th, 2015)
